 If your talking about a sailboat I'm not sure there is anything that relates to gyroscopic motion. Of course the engine in a powerboat probably has some nominal gyroscopic effects. On the other hand you could probably use a large gyroscope to provide stability in place of the weighted keel in a sailboat.
