Question

Asked by: Ta
Subject: Respects and Greetings
Question: May peace and prosperity be yours.
I come in peace.

I come to pay my respects to Eric Laithwaite who is no more.
Eric was a giant among men when it came to seeing possibilities.
Sadly, I come too late by far to have conversations over cognac with this man.

I come also to pay my respects to Sandy Kidd, that tireless warrior who have plouged on for so long.

I also come to pay my respects to the users of this forum, visionaries in their own way.
I thank the webmaster for doing so much work on this site.

May the efforts of revolutionaries such are you all be successful in bringing change in society.

I seek to know two things:
1. Is it possible to speak with Sandy Kidd on this forum?
2. Does anyone know where Eric Laithwaite is buried? I would like to pay my respects to him at his grave one day when I come down ye' old England way.

Thanks for paying your respects - my father was Prof Eric Laithwaite and I know he would appreciate your words almost as much as he would have appreciated the brandy.

His ashes were scattered in 1997 in the Garden of Remembrance at the Chichester Crematorium in West Sussex.

Best wishes.....

 Dear Mr. Laithwaite,

I'm sure the future will vindicate your father's identification of the gyroscopic behavior as being worthy of further study.

Even Einstein at one time concluded that gyroscopes in free fall will fall slower - even if Einstein was wrong in his conjecture, this is definite proof that gyroscopes are tricky topics - even what we know of them.

I hope to be able to contribute to the solution of this most delicately hidden puzzle that your father has excavated and identified with such extraordinary diligence and passion.
Solving the puzzle and bringing to life the potential that the phenomena displays is the best that science can do to honor him.
