 No. You must type the following character sequence without the '&' signs,
&<& a href="http://www...com"&>& Clickable link text here

 forgot to add &>& to the end of that string... oops! Sorry! Make sure to but these characters or the entire post will become clickable and wreak havoc on the formatting of the subsequent messages.
