Question

Asked by: Jack Fortier
Subject: Stabilizing a wide tire two-wheeled motorcycle.
Question: Don't know exactly how this will work but here goes:
If you used really wide tires on a two-wheeled motorcycle like the ones used on early 70's Indy cars (18" wide rear, 12" wide on the front) could you mount dual computer controlled tilting gyros near the bikes center-of gravity to offset the forces encountered during high-speed cornering? To keep those wide flat section tires firmly planted and not causing the bike to want to raise up on the edges of the tires?
