Gyroscope ride in Space Station |
Question: |
Would a gyroscope ride aboard the international space station help astronauts fight the effects of long term micro gravity, The most significant adverse effects of long-term weightlessness are muscle atrophy and deterioration of the skeleton, or spaceflight osteopenia. I have read that these gyroscope rides provide an increase in gravity upon the person inside. My thinking is that an Astronaut could spend time inside one , and for long trips to and from Mars, it might be useful.
