 Dear Olivia Shields,

This reaction has little to do with gyrodynamics, unless a force is present to change the rotational axis of the spinning car. To cause spin in one car and linear decelaration in the other, an impact at an angle is normally expected and a ditch is an option.

kind regards

I wonder if Olivia is not asking a rather good question, namely, how is it that one car ends up spinning and the other one doesn't?
Whatever happened to the Law of Conservation of Angular Momentum?
