Any clear Pic's knocking about? |
Question: |
Was intrigued many years ago by the BBC broadcast of the Laithwaite R.I. Christmas lecture and occasional references to the Sandy Kidd (and other) gyro devices. There seems out there, a humungous amount of discussion on the mechanics, maths and suggested operation of this type of gyro mechanism but it's invariably as text or badly-guessed-at line diagrams.
Anyone know if there's some *clear* pics of the Sandy Kidd machine or some such model on display somewhere?. (A pics worth ten thousand words etc).
Sadly, it must otherwise all remain a bit meaningless, unless I can knock something together and try it myself . :-)
regards

| I have a copy of this on VHS. I'm planning on putting the videos on this website soon. They can then be scrutinised.
