Relation b/w cycling & gyroscopes |
Question: |
I read somewhere that gyroscopes and cycles work in the same way. That is, when a force is applied in a gyroscope it balances the effects of the force by moving the opposite way. In the way, when riding a bi-cycle when you lean on one side you feel a counter-force trying to move you back in the initial position. And in both the cases, more the speed (or rotation) more is the strength of the counter-force.
So, kindly please explain me how are you able to maintain balance while riding a bi-cycle. Thanks. |
