friction free surfaces |
Question: |
A friction free surface is one that gives vertical support, with no horizontal resistance.
A long cord does exactly this.
Not only is it friction free for small deflections on long cord, by reducing the length of the cord, any horizontal force produced can be measured, by measuring the deflection.
The perfect inexpensive tool for research.
