Subject: Combining Gyroscopes
Question: How do we combine a series of gyros so as to tell the direction of it in air? How should they be orientate? For example, a free falling object?

 You only need one gyroscope if it is fully gimbaled. Then you just need sensors to read the rotation of the gyroscope in it's gimbals. This is how many guidance systems work. If you go an EBAY you will occasionally find an old missile or torpedo gyro for sale.

 Actually I take it back. For free fall you might need two because it will be hard to measure spin along the axis of the gyroscope.
