Question

Asked by: TJ
Subject: horizontally co-joined counter rotating gyros
Question: If I take two toy gyros and join them at the hoizontal axis and then spin them in opposite directions ....what would be the effect to the overall attitude of the machine? Would the machine lose its' stability by cancelation or would it tip at 90 degree angels from the direction of the tipping force?

The two gyros would cancel each other out if the spin axis' are coinciding.

 T,
Your question may need to be expanded to explain where and how you will mount the co-joined gyros. Also will they be joined rigid hinged to pivot? If you simply put them on a table they will not do much.
