| "Linaze" was the trading name of the UK company that sold the gyroscopes back in the 1980s and 1990s. They were extensively advertised in specialist magazines such as "Model Engineer" - - mainly before the Christmas period.
Recent searches for the company on the web and using its last known address have proven fruitless. I am not sure if Linaze manufactured the gyroscopes or just marketed them.

| I believe that Linaze were manufacturing all of the components themselves. They were selling them as a self build kit. I have a brochure collected from their stand at the 1984 Model Engineering exhibition which states that the usual price of the kit was£9.95 + £0.54 p & p but they were on offer at the special exhibition price of £7.99 inc. p & p. I seem to remember that the company had a stand at several previous M.E. exhibitions. I also remember that they were very nicely finished kits. I have always regretted not buying one. I think that there were only a couple of chaps in the company, but might be wrong about this.
The contact details on the brochure are: PO box 343. MAIDENHEAD. Berkshire. SL6 0EJ. Telephone: 0628 74344. It says that they accepted telephone orders and offered both Access and Barclaycard payment options.
I hope that this info is of interest.
