Has anyone ever experimented with a mobius strip, to see if it only has one side gyroscopically? |

| | | Yes. But it has two sides (an inside and an outside) with a direct path between the two. The axle is always on the inside so it makes no difference.
you can draw a line from one side of a flat piece of paper to the other side as well (and drive your science teacher around the bend, if he has a one-track mind) :)

| | | There exists a photograph of Eric Laithwaite standing next to a 3D figure-of-8 track. If I recall correctly, the track had a twist which made it into a Moebius strip. There exists a patent for a very similar track. It is purported to be a (non-gyroscopic) reactionless space drive. Again, I am not sure whether it is of Moebius form. If I did not have a life, I would check these details. I would also try to check whether the inventor, or Laithwaite, was the imitator. Judging by his track-record, my money would be on Laithwaite.
