Question

Asked by: Coldmind
Subject: Electric power consumption...
Question: Could someone tell me the electric power consumption(watt) of a gyroscope? I think of the gyroscopes in a robot, maybe someone knows a source where technical details are listed.

Thank you :)

It depends on the speed the gyroscope needs to go and the weight of the gyroscope. The precision gyroscope for example (see www.gyroscope.com) at a guestimate uses just a few hundred mA. A little more when starting. Should be ideal for a small robot. I would be interested in SPONSORING someone to do something with a gyroscope and a robot. contact me if your interested.
