If you just want to make one then you could try
http://rswww.com you will need to open an account with them. The service is first class and they have a large range of bearings. Delivery is next day but they tend to be quite pricey. However most bearings still only cost under 5. If you want to buy in bulk try bearings and motors +44 (0)1452 855200 (based in the Uk).

Smaller bearings have less friction but you have to be careful not to use too small a bearing because they won't be able to take the load.

What sort of size gyroscope are you planning to make?
