If you just want to make one then you could try
http://rswww.com you will need to open an account with them. The service is first class and they have a large range of bearings. Delivery is next day but they tend to be quite pricey. However most bearings still only cost under £5. If you want to buy in bulk try bearings and motors +44 (0)1452 855200 (based in the Uk).

Smaller bearings have less friction but you have to be careful not to use too small a bearing because they won't be able to take the load.

What sort of size gyroscope are you planning to make?
