Question

Asked by: F.Lee
Subject: The use of gyro to stabilize ships
Question: Hey

I have looked all over the www to find some info about the use of gyro in ships for stabilizing. I want to know which forces to expect. If you have a certain heavy wheel on steel spinning vertically on a horizontal axe and "the boat" rolls ten degrees.. How can i calculate the forces on the bearings, the force that will try to make the ship back in its position again.?

Thanks for answeres! :)
