Question

Asked by: Steve Tragesser
Subject: Availability of a MITAC-like Gyro
Question: Does anyone know of a powered gyro suitable for classroom demo - like the old MITAC? Size would idealy be about 12-18 inches in diameter with two gimbals, a rotating base, and a fairly fast, large rotor. Attachements for a damper and a spring for one of the gimbals (like the MITAC) would also be nice along with a way to put an applied moment on the rotor (e.g. a rod for a weight).
