Question

Asked by: Jon Berbank
Subject: the solar system
Question: Are the planets afecting the sun? Is that why the equater of the sun is moving faster than the poles? Is the force that has distorted the flight of the pioneer spacecraft the spin that Eric spoke about? Is dark matter spin?

Yes the planets do have an affect on the sun and that is on of the hypothesized reasons why the equatorial part of the sun's rotation. If you can imagine having a large ball or series of balls tied to a water ballon this concept is easier to understand. Like the waterballoon the sun is fluid-like and if something is causing the center to spin faster it will eventually speed up the poles.
The sun is plasma which is one step above a gas the planets are revolving around the sun at thousands of miles per hour. this speed keeps the planets from entering too close to the sun yet it has the same affect that a piece of string has when it is tied to a waterballoon. As long as the balloon doesn't fall or break or move only in rotation, the water at the center will move faster than the surrounding water.
The spin, refering to the pioneer space craft, was caused in an under or overcompensation for gravity's pull around jupiter.
Dark matter is not spin instead dark matter has a lot to do with zero point energy which is a whole other explanation.

Hope this helps.
