| | If you mean what makes a good gyroscope, a strong frame to withstand the forces. A well sized disk with the mass on the outside of the disk. In other words thin by the axle and bulging towards the outside. A heavy material is better (brass is quite common) and it should run at a highest speed possible with effecting safely or the life of the gyroscope. The weight, shape, size and speed are all relative to the gyroscopic forces.
