Subject: vertical gyro
Question: what will happen if apply torque to the inner gimbal ring of avertical gyro? does the outer gimbal ring movealong with the inner gimbal ring

 No. Direction of the set-up doesn’t matter. You always get a 90-torque reaction to applied force regardless.
